We supported the upper pool walls when we broke out the floor and lower walls. We slotted the areas that received the support pipes. We dug down to the depth below the new floor depth and placed the support first. REMEMBER, no two jobs are alike, no matter how much experience we have. We ALWAYS WAIT for engineering plans and follow them. NEVER assume you know more than the engineer!
